Based in Miami, on-site wherever your operation is

Most of our work happens in South Florida's food manufacturing and distribution districts. We also travel to plants across Florida and the U.S., and support Latin American suppliers that sell to U.S. buyers.

Where does JV Food Safety Consulting work? We are based in Miami and work on-site in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties for every project phase. Across the rest of Florida and other U.S. states we schedule on-site visits for gap analysis, training and mock audits. Latin American suppliers are supported remotely and on-site by project, in Spanish.

Food safety consultants across South Florida

South Florida's food businesses cluster in a few districts, and each has its own mix of operations and requirements. We have written a page for each of the areas where we work most often.

On-site work

How on-site consulting works

  1. 30-minute gap call

We review your target standard, audit date, products and current programs by phone or video, and agree on what needs to happen on the floor.

  2. On-site gap analysis

We visit during production, and during sanitation where it matters, to see how the plant really runs. Documents alone don't show that.

  3. System build with visits and remote sessions

Programs and records are written in working sessions with your team. Training happens on-site, in English and Spanish, near the equipment people actually use.

  4. Mock audit on-site

A full mock audit in your certification body's format, followed by corrective action tracking and support on audit day.

Outside South Florida? Travel is scoped into the fixed quote after the gap call, and we group on-site days to keep visits efficient. Remote sessions cover document review and follow-up between visits.

Latin America

Latin American suppliers to U.S. buyers

Many products that pass through Miami start on farms and in plants in Latin America. U.S. importers must verify those suppliers under FSVP, and buyers often require PrimusGFS, SQF or BRCGS certificates before the first shipment.

We work with exporters in Spanish: document work and training remotely, on-site visits by project. Spanish-speaking readers can start with exportar alimentos a Estados Unidos or certificación PrimusGFS.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for travel within South Florida?

Travel is part of the fixed scope we quote after the 30-minute gap call, wherever your operation is. You see it in the quote before you decide, so there are no surprises later.

Can some of the work be done remotely?

Yes. Document review, plan writing sessions and follow-up can be remote. The gap analysis, staff training and mock audit work best on-site, because that is where auditors test your system.

Do you work with plants in other states?

Yes. We schedule on-site visits for the phases that need them and support the rest remotely. Tell us your location and audit date on the gap call.
