How we handle your information
Effective date:
JV Food Safety Consulting USA (“we”, “us”) is a food safety consulting firm based in Miami, Florida. This policy applies to this website and to the information you send us through it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, company, work email, phone number, target standard, audit window, facility location and your message. We also record the page the form was sent from. If you call or email us, we receive the information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. If website analytics are enabled, analytics cookies or similar technologies may collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page and approximate location derived from the IP address.
2. How the contact form is processed
Our contact and quote forms are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form service. When you submit a form, your information is transmitted to Web3Forms and forwarded to us by email. Web3Forms processes the data on our behalf and under its own privacy policy and security practices. A hidden field helps filter spam submissions.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your request and schedule a gap call
- To prepare a proposal or scope of work you asked for
- To deliver and administer services if you become a client
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and improve it (if analytics are enabled)
- To protect the website against spam, abuse and security threats
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Cookies and analytics
The website itself does not require cookies to work. If we enable analytics, we use them to measure traffic and improve content, not to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will continue to work. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the website and our business (such as form processing, email, hosting and, if enabled, analytics), when required by law, or to protect our rights. Service providers may only use the information to provide their services to us.
6. Data retention
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship, and then for as long as reasonably necessary for legal, accounting or record-keeping purposes. Information from inquiries that do not lead to a project is deleted when it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to legal obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal reasons
- Stop contacting you
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.
9. Client information
Information we receive during consulting projects, such as audit findings, formulas and supplier data, is handled under the confidentiality terms of our engagement, not only this website policy.
10. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
